the redwoods

I feel blessed to have seen so much of the world but the more I travel in the US the more I realize how amazing it is. I have been from Uganda to Costa Rica but I was just as amazed by the Grand Canyon as I was with seeing the Nile. I think I have always thought the further I go the better but now I am finding myself wanting to explore the states more and more.

One of those gems worth seeing in the US is definitely the Redwoods. I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. It is something you HAVE to see. You can hear about the giant trees and see pictures but until you stand next to a tree that is 32 feet wide you really can't understand. It is amazing. I also didn't realize how many different things there are to see in that area. We saw everything from where Star Wars was filmed to a forest of ferns to the beautiful Pacific ocean all in one day. Amazing. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.

  1. Beautiful photos, Gina! What a magical place! We didn't get the chance to go there when we went to the Northwest- but we certainly MUST next time!

  2. I guess it's different for me because I'm not from America but as an outsider, America seems to have it all. Beautiful nature, incredible cities, deserts, big trees, and so much more. If I lived in America, I would probably go and explore every state before even thinking about traveling somewhere else.

    1. They are my favorite too! Where I live we have ancient oak trees everywhere covered in moss and they are just mesmerizing. The redwoods is quite a treat for a tree lover.
