decorating with air plants

I have talked tons in the past about my love for plants. If you aren't an indoor plant lover then check out this post on all the benefits of indoor plants. You may remember me preaching on my love for succulents but I believe I have found a new plant to love. Jim bought me my first air plant this past Christmas and I loved it but after seeing air plants all over Portland I knew I needed more. I went out and bought them in different shapes and sizes and I have loved placing them throughout the house. They add a pop to everything from a bookshelf to a coffee table and have been a blast to decorate with.

If you want to try out some air plants yourself check out your local nursery. If they don't have one I have heard this site has a good selection and will ship them straight from California.

  1. Those are beautiful! I haven't heard much about air plants before... do you water them?

    1. You sure do! Air plants surprisingly need more water than you think. I run mine under the sink for a good soaking 2-3 times a week. Just make sure you do it in the morning so they have the day to dry out.

  2. What a brilliant idea. I had one once and loved it.

  3. Some people just take luxury into consideration so that lead to over-budget. Due to lacking of money, they can't buy that kind of luxurious furniture as they planned.
