closet cleaning

It's that time of year again! It may have cooled off where you live a long time ago but it is just now feeling like fall here so that means time to swap out clothes! I always use the change of seasons to think critically about what does and doesn't need to hang around for the next year. It is much easier to look at your summer clothes now and see what you did and didn't wear than next spring when you are trying to find room for them (and anything new). Use this weekend to look through things that you may have only worn once or twice or maybe has been completely worn out and let it go! You will thank yourself next year when you can roll out only your favorite items and have the extra space for something new.

  1. Oh I always get such a weird thrill from cleaning out my closet. It is one of my favorite things to do. Of course followed my trip to platos closet where I try to sell some of it and while they are looking at them I get my heart set on a bunch of items only to have them offer me about half of what the price of my new clothes will be and I end up spending more then I even planned.
It is a ritual I frequently go through...

    1. I LOVE cleaning out my closet. I think I am the opposite of a hoarder. It feels amazing to get rid of things. Ive tried selling my clothes in yard sales before and had success but this year I am thinking about trying out ebay. We'll see.

  2. Since all my clothes now fit in a single suitcase, I cannot say it enough: cleaning out my closet was the best thing I ever did! Well, that's a little over the top, but I don't want closet clutter EVER again. :)

  3. I just did the very same! My, already teeny wardrobe, has hit the bricks a few times and a couple weeks back I cut it down to one drawer and 20 hangers. We're hoping to soon move into an RV full-time and space is limited. Plus it's all made me realize how little I want to be identified with what I wear and more with what I have to offer. Cheers to reducing clutter! ^_^
