I am finally back from our two week adventure and I would say the main thing I brought home with me is about 10 extra pounds. Before we left I admitted that we often plan our days around where we want to eat when visiting a place and that absolutely happened this trip. Between Seattle seafood and the delicious and unique foods of Portland we ate a lot. Now that I am back and having to squeeze into my jeans I am still reminiscing over the fun we had. I thought I would share a few photos and food highlights from our time in Seattle.
We bought Molly Moon's cookbook months ago and when we found out we would be staying just a few blocks from this amazing ice cream I have to admit it was close to #1 on our things to do. We split an amazing lavender honey and fig ice cream and it was everything I hoped it would be.
When walking around the in the rainy city of Seattle you must stop for a delicious cup of coffee to get away from the wind and cold. Although there is a Starbucks on every corner we found our favorite place at Victrola Coffee. It was delicious coffee and a great environment.
Jim and I both have a weakness for crepes. If its in the breakfast options and if it involves Nutella then it is almost always going to end up on one of our plates. Joe Bar was a dream come true for a crepe lover. It was a super low key place to stop for a good cup of coffee, a delicious crepe and a quiet place to read the paper.
I'm not going to lie, I'm still dreaming about Beecher's macaroni and cheese.
