in flight snacks

I have had the pleasure of visiting Africa twice in my life. I absolutely love love love the places I have been. I spent a couple weeks in Tanzania in 2007 and a few weeks in Uganda in 2008. These trips changed my life. I could go on and on about how amazing these places are but thats not what today is about. Unfortunately, I got a bug during both of these trips. This would be no big deal but I got them both right before the flight home. Why am I bringing this unappetizing topic up on travel week? Well because now airplane food is my worst enemy. Since those unfortunate incidences I cannot stand any kind of food handed out on an airplane. It has been years I know but it is what it is.

What I have learned recently is to take some snacks with me. I had never thought of packing an in flight picnic until I came across this article which inspired me to make flying more fun. I still have a week or so before I need to start thinking about this but I thought I would share a few recipes that I have done on the blog that would work perfect for travel.
