Beautify your kitchen! I love this revolution of making the everyday things around you beautiful. Some shops that are doing this especially well are West Elm Market and Toast. They focus on making the everyday things lovely and I have to say I have fully adopted this. I started with ditching my ugly plastic kitchen utensils for wood ones and instead of having a plastic egg crate I bought a lovely ceramic one. These items all together cost me less that $20 and have made a world of difference. From these items I migrated to pretty dishes for my produce, lovely tupperware that now serves as our bowls too (pictured above), a glass butter dish and using my pretty casserole dishes and getting rid of the regular ones. Why save the nice ones just for company? This not only made more space but makes me love my kitchen. I have a beautiful cutting board that I love to sit out all the time instead of a few plastic ones taking up space in my cabinet. Or I have my bulk items displayed in clear glass jars instead of in ugly, disorganized bags taking over my shelves. I made these investments gradually and most of my favorite items I found extremely cheap at TJ Maxx. You don't have to spend a lot to make a big difference. I really would love for you to give it a try! You will never go back.

  1. I know what you mean about having a beautiful wooden cutting board out all of the time! We have one with beautiful wooden marks and different shades. It sits out on our kitchen island all the time for prepping or entertaining!
