Wake up on time and put a smile on your face. A recent study also showed that people who get out of bed by 7 am tend to be happier, slimmer and more conscientious than those who wake later. I know when I get out of bed by 7 I feel much more confident about my day. If I get to sit and drink my cup of coffee rather than running around the house mug in hand the day is already a success for me. One of my biggest struggles is getting up on time but I know when I do my day is all the better for it.
Another interesting thing I have been learning about mornings is setting an intention. How different would your day be if you started with a smile and a positive thought? It feels weird but if you begin the morning with a smile it really can change your disposition. That small intention can remind us that we want to have a joyful and peaceful day. Lately I know I have really needed that reminder.
