I don't know what it is about fall but it just isn't complete without an array of apple dishes. When I came across this simple recipes for apple chips I knew I wanted to try them. What could be a better fall snack than apple chips?
The chips do take a few hours in the oven to dry out and firm up but its worth the wait! This is the perfect recipe to do during a slow afternoon or in between laundry on a clean up day. The only attention they need is a flip halfway through!

Makes about 40 chips
2 apples, sliced crosswise 1/8 inch thick, seeds removed
1. Heat over to 225º. Arrange apple slices on two parchment lined baking sheets and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
2. Flip apple slices and then continue baking until crisp, about 1 hour more.
3. Remove slices and let cool completely. Store chips in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
