“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly
sight harder for a bird to learn to fly while remaining
an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on
indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg.
We must be hatched or go bad.”
- C.S. Lewis

One of the most significant things I have learned recently is the importance of home to me. I never expected to work from home but more then that, I never expected to love all the things that come along with it. I realized that all the things that I love, cooking, sewing, and simply creating are perfectly suited for a life from home. I also learned how much freedom came with me letting go of a traditional work schedule. I am delighted to start my day working in the garden and checking on our bees and finishing out the afternoon with a cup of tea and a good book. This has been my hatching.

With the recent move I have had the opportunity to settle a home once again. I decided with this move I would take the time to document what we make whether curtains or dinner and share it. I realized how much I have learned with my new found time and I am hoping this to be the best outlet for it. My quest is to make a simple, healthy and beautiful home and share it with you. I hope you enjoy!
